Donald Trump, who once referred to his former attorney Michael Cohen as one of the "best people" has now turned around to dissociate himself from him after he pleaded guilty to paying porn star Stormy Daniels to silence her so she doesn't speak of her alleged relationship with Trump.
Michael Cohen pleaded guilty in federal court on Tuesday to eight different counts, including paying porn star Stormy Daniels and former Playboy model Karen McDougal for their silence and he says he did it "at the direction" of a candidate for federal office (read here).
Shortly after Michael Cohen pleaded guilty, Trump, who has always praised Cohen and vouched for him, took to Twitter to sing a different tune.
Trump wrote: "If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don’t retain the services of Michael Cohen!"
Well, trust social media users. They were quick to remind him that he was the same one singing Cohen's praise not long ago.
Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel replied to Trump, writing: "but wait...wasn't he one of the "best people"?"
